University of Portland freshman Matt Strangio joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to talk about his journey through the pandemic, from high school at Jesuit of California to the University of Portland. He reflects on his biggest college running achievement to date, breaking the four-minute barrier (3:59.19) and UP's school record in the indoor mile at the UW Invitational on Jan. 29. Strangio, who has been dealing with a strep throat infection the past couple of weeks, concluded his indoor season over the weekend with a second-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the MFSF Indoor Championships in Spokane, Wash.
